As StoreXperience set out to develop and sell its business services on-demand via Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, it needed a tight integration from the back end all the way to the mobile device. Microsoft technologies and expertise were crucial.

StoreXperience’s innovative service is based on a wide range of Microsoft® technologies that include: Windows Server™, .NET Framework, SQL Server® 2005, PerformancePoint™ Server 2007, Dynamics™ CRM 3.0, Visual Earth™, Silverlight™, Windows Mobile® 5 and 6 to name a few.

The company chose Microsoft as its primary technology partner for two reasons: technology and business development. On the technology front, it wanted a partner that would provide as many of the fundamental building block technologies it would need. Thanks to Microsoft’s help, we were able to develop, test and launch our new service in just four months where other solutions would have taken us two or three times as long. This rapid development cycle demonstrates both the breadth and interoperability of the different technologies provided by Microsoft. Further, having all of the technologies under one roof, and more importantly, compatible, was crucial.

On the business front Microsoft introduced StoreXperience to key partners, one that proved critical was to an Austrian company (Imagination Computer Services GesmbH) focused on datamatrix imaging technology. It has since become an integral part of our offering. But Microsoft also used its scope and vision across the industry in general to help StoreXperience build relationships that would make our product better and helped us participating in massive ways at the National Retail Federation (NRF) tradeshow, that is the largest industry trade show.

The Microsoft partnership gave StoreXperience a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate its product to the 13,000+ attendees at the NRF Big Show and increase its exposure to the market and validate the market opportunity and timing through the generation of a significant deal flow with the top brands and specialty retailers.
